Found this 1916 barber dime a while back and forgot about this mark on the reverse left of the "One". Can anyone tell me if its a error, blemish of Planchet error? Its seems to be raised and the leave is overlapping it a little.

    strange, I agree.

Considering all, I don't think greased die.

    More likely post mint damage.

Looks like it could be a die clash mark.

I have no idea where greased dye came from, but it is not. My guess is that it is a laminated planchet.

Thanks for the suggestions and will try to get a few better pictures for you. I took this picture over a year ago but better photo skills now, I hope. Will try posting some better ones.

Thanks for the welcome gang. Hi Rockdude, nice to see a kind face and get a warm welcome. Still looking for this coin so I can take a better picture. I am still unorganized after a move.

I don't see any indications of a greased filled die or a lamination error or die clash . I would rather go with a interior die break or a die chip since you said the image is raised . I have a question does the image look like a raised blob of metal? I would say it's probably circulation damage since the coin is quite old .

:kewl:One more thing it maybe a flawed planchet with a low spot.
