just found this roll searching, what kind of error is this? is it worth much? should I send it to get slabed?looks like another plachet was stamped over another? 1973 mint can't be made out, weak strike "in god we trust" partially visable just under rimm
Holy Cow. I bet that is a ___________________________________ Its probably worth in the range of $_______ and $_______ We really do need to see some pictures to have any kind of idea how to help.
Why bother? So far his entire contributions here have been everything is a Chinese fake and he can't find the new Lincolns for face value. Yeesh...
reverse I heard that 1 in 5 cc dollars are china fakes, is this conservative or cold it be worse?? I have been approaches on ebay 3 times to by these and splitthe profit with another seller s I think this is more wide spread then others think, don't think they are into error coins yet
Ricky, I think that I can see something in the first pic but am not sure! The pics need to be somewhat larger, as close to the coin as you can get without blur or being out of focus and definitely need to be a little brighter. Frank
After just discussing the alloy compositions in woodies that make that effect, I wonder if the discoloration in this coin isn't an incorrectly blended alloy composition. I can't really say about the rim and date/MM if it's an error or not because it's hard for me to see these in the photos. I think if you can take shots straight on and avoid shadows hanging over your coin when making the photos that will help.
I can't tell anything about the coin! Better close-up pics are need with some straight-on as well as angled. If you could also explain what we are supposed to be looking at, might help! Frank
Post mint damage, it's a dryer coin in the early to mid stages. Go to the first picture, enlarge it and look at the rims. Very high and intruding in upon the IGWT and the base of the bust.
