Looking for opinions on these stairs

    Hello everyone,

    I tried posting this once before but the pictures were horrible quality. these ones are much better, I am curious as to what other people think of the stairs on this penny.

    Welcome to Coin Talk. What's the date of your coin? Also, you should post a photo of the entire reverse of the coin. If the date is 1982 or later it could be linear plating blisters you're seeing. That's why a pic of the entire reverse is needed.

    Looks like it took a hit across the staircase. The very last picture above is quite telling. Looks to be gouged with displaced material.

    To me that looks like linear plating blisters in a zinc cent that just happened to appear on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.
