Is this a double die? 1998 penny

    It could also be raised or damaged plating.

    Same thing that was said earlier. Results of a die gouge, or a raised or damaged portion of the plating.

    I think it's from the feeder finger like coop said/

    That's a possibility. A feeder finger could have damaged the die face.

    Usually a gas bubble is not straight. They are more irregular.
