Further observations

In talking with other people on line, I learned that quite a few people had waited on line 2, 3 or more times to get more rolls. I guess there was no limit on the number times through the line. Or more likely, they couldn't keep track of which people were repeat customers.

The US Mint also has a small retail operation at Mint HQ on 9th St NW - around the corner from Verizon Center and one block from the Spy Museum.

 

Sorry Krispy I left before I saw your post. I did go and I got the 2009 prez dollar proof set. Gotta love no shipping! The mint really puts some big premiums on stuff.

 

It's so nice that you can buy directly from the Mint locally like that without, shipping costs and any dealer mark ups.

 

I agree, but most of the stuff there that I like the appearance of is out of my price range.
