Did a trade with Mr. Rowe of Nothern Nevada Coin last month. This is one of the coins I received in trade. http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u284/tallpaul000/IMG_1407.jpg http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u284/tallpaul000/IMG_1406.jpg http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u284/tallpaul000/IMG_1404.jpg http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u284/tallpaul000/IMG_1405.jpg Amazing how a slight change in angle reflects features differently. I also want to thank Mr. Rowe. First time I have done a major trade. He spent quite a bit of time and looked through everything and gave me a very fair price. Topnotch and will deal with again. take care Tallpaul000 P.S. Just had to hold it naked in my hand!!
was that fingerprint on the reverse under the eagles wing (around 7 oclock / center position) when you bought it or since acquiring and handling it? It's that pattern of slanting marks that has a sort of muddy greenish color to it based on these pics.
I have it in one of those oversized 2 1/2" mylar flips that pcgs requires submittals. It used to be in an NGC VF35 slab. Funny about the "fingerprints" because I have looked at this coin a few times raw and never noticed them until I took the photos. Imaging can sometimes bring out details not otherwised notice. I take it out every so often, carefully, and think about the founding of this country.
Krispy , I'm not sure that's a fingerprint , the lines look a little too wide for one , but I bow to your eyesight :bow:as I copletely missed it while drooling on my monitor .:thumb: rzage
Super coin and congrats. This is the first one I've seen. O ne easy question, I hope. What is that on the 'L' in Liberty? Congrats again. I hope it is authentic.
