I have started collecting dated European coins prior to 1501. I have found a couple of places that from time to time might have one. Does anyone know of a dealer that has these on a normal basis?

If you don't know your coins, know your dealer... Kuenker is reliable, by the way. I look for IAPN or PNG membership from Europeans and of course ANA membership from Americans. For early dated, you might try some of the well known American medievalists, such as Gordon Andreas Singer or Allen G. Berman. They are both extremely reputable. Here is Andy Singer's bio: http://www.vcoins.com/ancient/andysinger/store/info.asp?page=AboutUs (Singer has a Ph.D. in medieval history.) Here is Bermania: http://www.bermania.com/ (Allen is a recognized expert on papal coinage -- literally wrote the book.)
Jean Elsen in Belgium often has early dated coins in its auctions, especially from the Low Countries. I have had no problems in several dealings with them. Also Karl Stephens offers a large mailing list every few months and there are occasionally a few early dates in it. He is very professional and I find him quite knowledgeable in the early dated area. http://www.elsen.be http://www.karlstephensinc.com
