1851/81? large cent

Absolutely ! I've only seen 3 since 2000 and just love this error . Not AU , closer to what you said . Did you buy this ?

 

pics were ok i guess. The notch to the right of the last 1 seems right to me. Date position looks right. There is some crud around the 5 that makes it hard to see that part of overdate I think. I don't think the seller knew what it was to be honest.

used to be a lot easier to find $15 large cents in decent shape on e-bay. This was a few years back.

Yeah the 1st $20 LC set had some amazing coins before i had to sell it.. The new set is doing well but much harder to find "nice" coins (for this set eye appeal is everything so detail coins can be acceptable lol)
