On the Liberty it is too dark to see anything. On the "GOD" I believe that you have one of the minor DDO's for the year! Glad to say: Congrats! Look at how the 2nd image is doubled, toward the center. Unusual for MD. And, the height of the second image: about the same as the first.
sorry guess I put it on the wrong thread. should be on error coins. here are more pics. check out the extra (I) in liberty.
okay, I still see nothing on Liberty, sorry. oops, I take it back-- MD on the Liberty But: The bottom of OD (in GOD) is post mint damage (a hit) But..... the inside of the O and the top left of the D... veddy interesting. and possible. Bill (found in rolls) should be along soon, and he is pretty good at this stuff.
.....these pics may help you. http://coppercoins.com/lincoln/dietype.php?date=1972&die_mint=p&die_type=do&page=0
hey looked at the web site you recomended and I think it is a 1972-p--1do--007. want to take a look for me and let me know what you think? Thanks alot BILL
It's definitely not 007,that variety also shows nice doubling of liberty. When you're checking a coin on coppercoins, click on the marker photos for that particular variety. You will see more photos that you can use to match up with your coin.
It looks like the common master die doubling found on all three mints common for that year. http://imgs.inkfrog.com/pix/coop49/Master_Die_doubling_1972-D.jpg
One Cent! They are a large percentage of them out there. Probably in the 25-50% range. The give away for this is the N on IN E on WE and B on LIBERTY and the D on GOD. Spot that same master die doubling, then you can toss it back into circulation. (Unless it BU, then its worth a little more.)
