1980 D quarter spitting eagle?

    is this a variety of spitting eagle? There is a die clash on reverse resulting in the appearance of the eagle spitting, however, i believe it was slightly rotated when struck, do to the fact that the spit is coming from an area closer to the throat than the tip if beak. Anyone has knowledge on this error? 0308-3~2.jpg

    All I see is a quarter its not a spitting eagle and no error.

    It's a new variety with die clash. At least that's what i read.

    I'm not seeing anything other than a quarter. No spitting Eagle and no die clash.

    I think he posted a picture of a true spitting Eagle, not the OP’s coin.

    Same here except the dies were slightly rotated. I thought the spitting eagle was a die crack or a die chip though.

    I thought that a clash only showed up in the fields. Why would it show up on the wing?
