i apologize for the above mess up.i just wanted to show my love for the capped busts also.i accidentally showed my draped bust.i'm new on here and still trying to learn to do my pictures correctly.
Yes it looks to be 114. I never inspected too close because I didn't dream such a mistake could be made. But upon a few Google searches I see it happens more than it should for the extra $ they charge to do the attribution in the first place. I still do love the coin but I bought it because of its rarity. But I guess the 114 is similarly as rare as the 113.
I also messaged the seller because he didn't disclose it. He swears its a small stars based on the placement of the third star. Whatever he means by that idk. But I didn't bother arguing with him about it. He has what looks to be a reputable online business. Has told me I can return it if I wish.
Just arrived! And came in one of these little cardboard cases i had never seen before. I think I'll be buying some of these for my other coins instead of using ziploc. It is definitely an Overton-114. I think I'll submit it to NGC and have it crossed over and properly attributed. I will wait until my application for CAC is accepted and I can submit there. Even in hand I still think this is the most beautiful coin I have ever seen!
I think I just learned a new word. That is a very interesting coin for sure. I am quite hooked on always acquiring more coins. Already I can look in my collection and feel amazed to see coins for which I have no recollection.
Well I did overpay for this coin. It is real nice but I did overpay. Knowing the variety is wrong AND being as its already been to CAC I do think I'm going to return it. By the time I get it fixed it'll really be an expensive coin. It'll be like a new car if I need to sell it tomorrow.
