The low matched serial numbers must be part of a BEP commemorative set? I have the 2003 Commemorative Single Star Note sets, but they we're matched serial numbers. I'm curious if someone matched them up, or if they came from BEP already matched.

Oops! I meant to write "they were not matched serial numbers". Do you know which BEP set the notes came from? I've seen matched serial numbers in a 1995 $10 FRN for all 12 districts:

I've also seen matched serial numbers across denominations like 2004 Evolutions Series:

But, I haven't seen matching serial numbers for $2 FRNs -- Like Noost, I really like those $2 notes!

its from a low number district set they released a few years ago i beleive. i think they could have been purchased sepereately or as a subscription

How is that these grading companies are slabbing notes cut from sheets. I mean at least they put the note on the slab, but I'm guessing that was only done because of how obvious the oversized margins were.

To me it just doesn't seem right.

Aside from my rant, those are very nice notes to have and I am truely jealous.

    Congrats

I agree gatzdon, what purpose does it serve? You could cut it any size you want.

yeah i guess you could. this person must have cut it pretty well to get the grade it did. i just thought it was an interesting note to add to my collection:)

ON the heritage auctions, I was constantly seeing the notes cut from sheets with the 70 PPQ etc... grades and no note about how it was cut from a sheet after it left the BEP. The only clue was the serial number.

I too saw this gatzdon....I became very suspicuos of the top grade for a hand cut note from a new sheet....it reeks of an inside job if you ask me...
