How many US series of coins (and name them) have featured a native american on them?

Hmmm...seems you may be correct. I see that the US Mint web site calls him the "Chief Engraver of the US Mint".

    However...

    http://www.coinlink.com/Resources/biographies/chief-engravers-of-the-united-states-mint/

I wonder if they just call him that or if he was actually appointed to that position by the President.

The answer I was looking for was "There ain't one".

You get the credits, regardless.

Directly from the US mint site.."The Kansas commemorative quarter incorporates two of the State’s most beloved symbols, the state animal and flower, the buffalo and the sunflower"

Buffalo is the colloquial name for the American Bison. AKA, same thing :D

    You believe the mint?

Better yet is the plant thing~Helianthus annuus!

To transfer you click "check" by the credits, and on the page it brings you to scroll down and on the left hand side (the control panel), you'll see credits, and underneath, donations and drawings. click it and you're set
