I found this coin in change while in Germany about 7 years ago. Does anyone know what it is? I also have about 100 Deusche Marks that was left over is there any value at all since they switched to the euro?

I'd say from the design that this piece is from Saidi Arabia. I don't have my reference books with me, though.

As for the DM, it would depend on the year and condition of the coins - any numismatic value would be based on these factors. If you mean 'monitary value', I'm not sure if you can still trade your DM in for Euros.

Rick is right. Saudi Arabia 50 Halalas - UNCIRCULATED $1-$2.

The German National bank still accepts old coins and bills (1948-2001). You can also legally use old D-marks in payphones!!

    100 D-mark is approx. 65 US$
