I love collecting world coins from the early 1800's through the mid 1900's. I always spend time holding and looking at them and wondering about their past. I love the experience of holding a real piece of history from any part of the world. Coins just seem to be small enouph and affordable enouph to accomplish this task :)

This was very interesting reading about your token. It does provoke one to think about several things. I just can't help but wonder what his current situation was when he did this, did he feel he would return to see her again?

Did he ever actually return, were they reunited, did they marry, have children, and live happily ever-after, or some other scenario.

I do wonder how it ended up where you found it? But, what you propose to do with it makes this very interesting token have a very happy ending.
