Where's the excitement, is the thrill gone. Are these dead in the water, before they go on sale?

They made 100k of the ones, three times as many of the twos (because everyone thought they be as popular. My order was five ones, 10 twos, and one three. JMO they sell 175k of the threes.

I missed out on the LP1s, got 5 sets of the LP2s on the first day only to see them flood the market. LP3? I think I'll wait until next week and order 2 sets. 3 tops. The mint ruined any excitement there might have been by overproducing the LP2s. If sales are slow (as I expect) they'll probably make up for that by minting a relatively small batch of LP4s, which I will buy a bunch of!

I think when the mint issued 300 K of the LP2, my interest in the LP3's went down like the titanic. I'm so fickle though I'll probably buy one with some Samoa rolls.

As with most everything there is such a thing as too much of a good thing.

i.e. I think many folks have gotten burned out from the hunt of the first two.

Indeed. See, e.g., 50-state, err, no, 56 state and territory, err, no, 106 state-and-territory-and-national park quarters

    (Why not a 3,141 county series!! :D )

Nice! Are those postmarks really worth anything in the long run? They look like something that can be easily faked. If the idea is to get all PT Barnum on the resale market, well, fine.

It's ho-hum because the Mint destroyed any collector interest by flooding the market with LP2's. They really know how to take the interest and fun out of collecting.

Only if it's one or two errors, not 55 again.

I just ordered 3 sets. They show up already "backordered" :headbang: I like how the mint trumpets that they've restored their 1-2 week shipping, and the LP3 estimated shipping date is more than 2 weeks away.

So than with all of this being said, who ordered some today?

Have you opened any Sholom. How do they look?

Funny thing . . . now that I have them cancelled, I don't want to open them! Of the ones on the ends that I can see -- some of them look pretty darn good (MS-66+ or so?) Not all of them have the tell-tale cirulcar "machine rolled" marks (how can that be?), and just a few have little "wet spot" marks. Overall, though, pretty good I'd say.

Just an open question to the forum , why does it seem these errors appear mostly if not always on P mint coins ? There were a lot of them.
