That's a cool ring, there was a guy who would frequent the local coin shop here and pick up Barber halfs in bulk to make those rings. He even has a patent on the process of converting them.

 

I don't know. I had a guy on ebay make me one out of an 1892-O quarter and he said there were three of them on ebay making them.

 

He wrote out the process with photo's of each step and submitted it. The coin shop thought the patent was a novelty and had a blow up of it to show me.

 

Can a mod say this?

 

Depends on the age of the Mod. :whistle: The older they are, the more they can get away with and in Doug's case, he's been around so long that he can get away with pretty much anything.
