I was on HA 8/11/09 bidding on some gold certs and this Fr.1173 $10 1922 gold cert/PCGS gem new 65PPQ was sold for $3,320 it's a beautiful note but over priced (my opinion). The only thing that came to mind was a bidding war between 2 bidders that wouldn't quit.
I also picked up a couple of mid grade Gold certificates. 1 $20 1906 Fr.1183 PMG very fine 25 and 1 $10 1922 PMG 35 choice very fine. I just read another post on prices of notes recently and agree somewhat. For the last month I've been buying bills thru HA and reselling on the bay at a very good profit, there is a big price difference between the 2 sites the question is why such a difference. Thanks Randy

You could be right..a bidding war!
I have seen recent examples in CHCU64 going for 1600-1700.00

    Ya just never know.

You brought a tear to my eye. In the early 2000's, I sold one just like that in UNC (same sigs too).

Nice notes, and I agree probably a bidding war.
