    Can you identify this coin? A friend asked me about it and I have no clue.

    Its not a coin but an Indian temple token. Various Hindu gods are represented, including the monkey god Hanuman, who is the one crouching beneath the table.

    Agree that this is a temple token, not a "coin" as commonly understood. The date -- if that is what the numerals represent -- is 5940. Too old for any secular calendar, older even than the Jewish calendar.

    I have about two of those and I knew right off the bat that they were Temple Tokens. Sold them though
