Not sure if anyone noticed, but a lil group of monster toners recently hit the market. And when I say Monster, i mean these are some of the nicest morgan toners ive ever seen. Crazy to see them all in one place at one time imo. Does anyone know the backstory on these toners?

Heres a couple for your viewing pleasure:

The guy has had them for a while. The pictures are all juiced to the max. None are monster toners.
The first one is the nicest of the group (in my opinion). It last sold for $1,265. The other two are likely priced in a similar manner (about 10x-15x the prior auction result).

    :yack:
the toned sides pics seem to have the contrast turned up.
I'm not an aggressive toner lover, though. I prefer a little color, but stuff like this is a turn off.

I've seen much more eye-appealing toners sell for fractions of what he's asking.

I wonder what they actually look like. He seems to be optimistic about the prices by an order of magnitude.

Exactly. We have been following these coins for years. Those are doctored photos. I have seen these coins twice in person, in Vegas, and Orlando. Are they nice toners? Yes. They were at the FUN show in Orlando 3 years ago. Monsters? Hardly. They should sell for below $2,000. Nothing like the Sunnywood, Aurora Borealis, or other legendary coins. The Legends auctions in Vegas in 2015-2016 had some of the $25,000-90,000 Morgans, including the fabulous “Moose.”

No morgan expert but my gut said those must have passed through before PCGS cracked down on color. They look like the infamous ASE's people AT'd and got through all the major TPGs back in the day.

They are legitimate. The photos are juiced to make the coins look unreal.

Hey all, I found a 1996 P penny with rainbow tone (easier to see in natural light). Worth anything?
