Found in one roll of lincolns: 2 formative years cents. Nothing unusual about that, they're all over the place around here. However one was a DDR(CDDR-001) and the other was a "whiskers" die clash.:)

Searched a box of Lincolns today. Here is what I got.
    1937-1
1938s-1 Looks like the obverse only may have been cleaned,is that possible? It is incredibly nice.
    1939-1
    1941
    1944-2
    1945-3
    1950d-1
    1953-1
    1956d-1
    1957d-2 1 has a real nice luster
Also 12 Canadian 4 LP1 and 12 LP2. I also pulled a few 74s that are really really nice. No marks that I can see with my printers loupe. They are toning a bit too. I don't know anything about grading but I'm going to learn.

i have never searched rolls before. i am looking at some halves, but my bank will have to order them and get them in. that said, is this generally the case? along those same lines, is it just pot luck with these rolls? is it generally the case that the rolls ordered from the bank will be machine rolled and therefore yield less than one would expect from rolls that the bank may get in normal circulation?

sorry for all the questions. this seems like a fun idea, but given what i have read here, i do not want to go into it expecting too much.

    thank you

I seem to do better with custimer wrapped rolls, but it takes more time to hunt them down. Maybe try all the banks around you and after you get all the ones they have, get some ordered. The only time I did boxes, I got 4 boxes and it yielded 2 %40 halves.

I went through a box of halves and found nothing. Today when I returned them, I had just dumped $50 of them when the coin machine stopped. The half bag was full. When they unloaded the bag to my surprise was 50-60 silver halves. I think they were 40% halves were they weren't as white as the 90%'s. I pleaded with the head teller to sell me the bag. I guess they changed their policy two weeks ago and can no longer sell them to costumers. They have to sell them to Lomis. I believe her because she never even looked at the bag other than to seal it. :-(
