At the ANA auction, I had my sights on a quad struck dime (very 3D & shaped like a four-petal flower) and a 1976 quarter struck on a cent. Somehow, I ran out of money before these beauties got to auction. I hope that they went cheap & that someone from CT got them. Here is an SBA struck on a cent planchet. I bought it from a non-error dealer. It is in a small white ANACS holder graded MS64 Red. It's pretty. I also got a nice off center Kennedy half dollar from Fred Weinberg. If you found any errors in LA, please post them. Very best regards, collect89
Very cool error Collect! It got me thinking, if you were to spend it (lol not that you ever would) is it technically worth 1 dollar or 1 cent, or $1.01 .
A dollar face value I think I think that if the SBA was struck on a STRUCK cent, then it would be a $1.01 coin. It would be nice to get one at face value. (Perhaps nice isn't the right word). Very best regards, collect89
I agree, it would be nice But, I would feel bad low balling you like that... so how bout I give you double face $2.02  And if you'll sell it for that price I'll take 1,000 Vera nice coin! I am really starting to gain interest in some of these errors.
Post em if you got em. This is an off center half I picked-up from Fred Weinberg. I personally really like the coin even though it is only slightly off center. Looking at the obverse, you might say it is an off center broadstrike. However, the reverse definitely has some of the design off the planchet. Post em if you got em.
Here is a link to the quad struck dime. I don’t think that this 3D coin was found in a roll. http://www.bowersandmerena.com/auctions/lot_detail.aspx?auctionno=13220&sessionno=3&catno=1032&searchstring=&lotno=3301 This off center half dollar is also really 3D. http://www.bowersandmerena.com/auctions/lot_detail.aspx?auctionno=13220&sessionno=3&catno=1032&searchstring=&lotno=3308 Very best regards, collect89
