    Hello ladies and gentlemen,
This question is mainly for European collectors.
I won some coins at an auction last weekend, the auction house sent the package on Monday, via FedEx, as usually. The house is in Germany, I am from Romania, so ~1000 miles.

Usually I receive the blessed envelope on Thursdays/Fridays but now it is still stuck in Koln hub since Tuesday 5:46 AM. No visible updates for me after Tuesday.
Too soon to really worry, I know, but I don't like this.
I spoke with TNT call center (FedEx packages are delivered with TNT here) but the lady said she sees some extra updates on the tracking, last one from Thursday, that the package is marked for departure (I don't see these last updates on FedEx or TNT tracking)

Do you know if there is a general work overload with FedEx Germany these days? Have you received any FedEx shipments from Germany to another European country very recently?

This time the auction house used FedEx Economy, sometimes they use FedEx Priority but this never changed the shipping time - 3-4 days.

Although I cannot speak to Fedex specifically, I have been finding in general these days that either packages go straight through to recipient, or alternatively get stuck in a 'hub,' where they languish for up to a couple of weeks. Perhaps it is an issue of volumes versus staffing, and either a batch arrives when there is enough staff to put it right through, or it gets put aside, and gradually worked on...

I have received recently a Fedex parcel from Germany to Italy in 10 calendar days. Once it took no more than 4 days.

This story has nothing to do with FedX, but it might be relevant. I spoke with our local postal deliverer about delays in our mail. He explained that someone in a mail-sorting center came down with COVID. The room, and everything in it, had to be quarantined and then thoroughly disinfected before work could resume again, thus delaying everything in it from being processed and also backing up everything that arrived at the facility after that. Set everything back a couple of weeks.

It might be something similar in your case.

All I can do is wait.
This would be my 5th shipment from that house (and not my last, as I like them)
Previous 4 shipments, all sent with FedEx, 2 Priority and 2 Economy, arrived after 3-4 days.

Possibly COVID slowdown or closer inspection at customs...

Fed ex from Europe for me is usually about three days. DHL tops this with 2 days sometimes.

idk about europe, but my last dealing with getting a package delivered here in then states by fedex was a total disaster...they kept changing the guaranteed delivery (5 times) and then 3 weeks later delivered my package to the wrong house and if not for the honestly of the reciever, i was just gonna be out with no recourse of either getting my money back or the package... i will not deal with anyone who uses fedex again..
