I would choose the Ionia, Teos bronze with griffin and kantharos.
This decision was approved by our local mixture of dog and bear.

    Rob,
    Your generosity is beyond comprehension.
If this is still open to entries, and my number is chosen, I'd probably get a few different items, allowing the credit to offset some of the cost. I like the Catherine the Great 5 Kopeks, as well as the Hungarian Madonna & child.
And, like so many others, I'm a cat lover as well.
Best wishes, and thanks again... I might just make a purchase sometime next week.
    ;-)

Gotcha beat by one. We have a lucky thirteen at this point. ;) Hats off to a rescuer. I salute you and whoever helps you take care of them.

I would spend the $25 on the 1899-O Barber Half because 1) I like coins minted in New Orleans and 2) I don't have a Barber Half in my type set.

    Thank you for the contest!

At present, I intend to hold the drawing sometime on Sunday, March 21st. But don’t hold my feet to the fire on that if I’m a little late. ;)

OK. Maybe. How ‘bout let’s see ten more photos of coins, critters, landscapes, or antiques, from ten different members (regardless of whether they’ve already entered or not- these can just be purely conversational posts if you already have), and then that’ll put us over 100 posts and give me time to prepare.

And then we can do the drawing.

    Ready? Go! :)

One reason for holding off on the drawing until next weekend was that I planned to spend this weekend migrating my little vestpocket store from the excruciatingly slow-loading CollectiveCoin over to my new hosting site, CollecOnline.

CollecOnline is a nifty French site I recently discovered, and have found to be far superior. (CollectiveCoin was good, but CollecOnline is a quantum leap beyond it.) Soon you’ll be able to see the giveaway goodies and my vestpocket store without the dreaded page loading lag, and with description fields that I can add hyperlinks and all sorts of stuff to.

Great site. I highly recommend it. And they’re not paying me to say that. It’s also for more than just coins, if you have other collections. They have a free membership level. I liked the site so much that I opted for the intermediate paid subscription level.

I’m still in the midst of the migration. Here’s how my collection looks over there so far. As of this post, I have not yet gotten around to moving the For Sale and giveaway stuff over there. Soon.

OK, I will start. Here is a proof coin that I imaged through an orange filter. The coin shows two waterbirds with a sunrise/sunset behind them, so I took that backdrop as a cue for the colour.
Enjoy, a little brightness in your world

We created a backyard from an unusable forest filled slope behind our house.

Very early in the project. Started mid June, 2020.

    IMG_20200824_174331848_HDR.jpg

Last winter before the project started. Those trees were on the slope and the weight of the snow bent them so they were laying on the porch roof creating a beautiful arch underneath them. No usable yard though. Need a place for the grands to play.

Here's when the project was finished for last year. This spring we've got cable style railings going around the patio, plantings on the second tier and on the right and left of the patio, and a hot tub going on the square by the house.
