Sorry guys, I can't find any picture that shows a better condition of this token. Actually the one I saw,looks so closer to this one and I'm searching all the web to find information about it. It's a 1 franc token. the 1 on the coin looks exactly to this one,but the coin is round not octagonal like this one. other than one there are two letters: M. S. so on the one side of the coin;1 M. S. The other side of the coin,a napoleonic eagle. I wish I can share photos of it but currently I can't,I'm still looking the web,hope to find somethinghya: If u have heard or seen something simillar please let me know,thank you.
back in the day when I was a paperboy one of the other boys had a money making scheme, that went like this, he would take the money he had collected and would snip off a piece of it and manufacture another note from the pieces, I wonder if a similar process is at work on your franc, that someone was clipping the edges in order to get bullion? I heard that is why edges were reeded or lettered to stop clippers.
