I'd have go with MS 63 there are a lot of small ticks on the rims and a lot of small contact marks on each side. I don't see any major hits so that's a plus. However, it's hard to say what the grading companies would do with it. I could see them grading it anywhere from MS 62 to MS 64. No way a MS 65.
I' would give it a MS-64+ (and my "+" ain't no lagniappe). I thought the request was to "guess the grade" and not to crawl into the mercenary mind of some TPG-er or coin merchant and guess their grade. Or am I misunderstanding the purpose of this CT feature?
Positives- semi Pl fields and very frosty devices full of luster and minimal disturbances. Negatives- heavy contact in the field both obv and rev, they are very eye catching and focal. What disturbs me a little is the area from 8 to 10 oclock on both the obv and rev. Maybe this was struck slightly mis aligned, and the area is just weak. But none the less keeps it from a gem grade. With the minimal contact on the devices. I have a hard time calling this anything less than a 64, especially with todays market grading. Maybe even a +. Perty coin @Kozmo70
I am enjoying all the feedback and answers. I will reveal grade later. It was an upgrade for my current 1894 that graded AU-50

Should not be a 64, as it would raise price from $7000 to over $20,000. While the coin is attractive, it is not strong enough to triple the price. I stand by my 62-63 tops, given the bagmarks, and the huge price jump. If someone paid over $7500-$8000 for that coin, it was a huge mistake, and I know my Morgans well enough.
^^^Thats what I said kind of don't know how people are saying 65-66 its there opinion though not mine.
I'm at MS63, the reverse is better but there is just too much chatter in the obverse focal areas and fields to go higher than 63.
Agree. No TPG would anoint that coin to triple the value by going over a 63, so it just isn’t there. If a TPG did grade that 64 or better, the person who buys or bought that coin better totally love it, as they overpaid wildly, and will never be able to resell it. The conditional rarity situation is particularly intense for this coin, and while a decent looking coin, it is not distinctive for a tough date Morgan. I rest my case. This is one that should be kept lower than actual grade, unless the coin is gorgeous, dripping in luster, incredibly toned, or is proof like. TPGs know this date well, and an 1893s or 1889cc, it ain’t.
