It's a nice coin set - I own one myself.

The weight of the silver coins aren't quite 1/2 oz and 1 ounce. They are .4924 and .9636oz each which comes down to a total of 20.8051 ounce. At current market price, I've seen them going at about 350-450USD but since your coins do have tarnish, it's better to expect them to be closer to the bullion content. There were just a lot of Olympic coins struck.

The very first thing you want to do is to check 1978 10 roubles "canoe" and "horse riders". If any of those carry a LMD mintmark, which is very unlikely unless your set is housed in a green box with all 28 coins displayed on a single insert layer, you have a 10,000 dollar coin. Then check 1978 bicycle and 1979 basketball and volleyball 10 roubles to see if they are no mintmark variety. Although none that I have ever came across were found in sets, you might get lucky. Those coins would worth 22,000 to 25,000 each

These are MMD mintmarks. LMD mintmark is the one that has A without the center stroke interwined with M, like on the first pic posted in the thread
