1936 Canadian Dollar

    Its a pretty dollar. The only problem with it I see is a bruise on the rim at 9 o'clock on the reverse.

    which coin/coins are the keys to the series?

    I would say the 1958 Totem (Death Dollar) and the 1967 Centennial are my personal favorites. Traci

    There are quite a few (semi)keys to the series.
    1938
    1945
    Any 1947 (11 different varieties)not including the Matte.
    1948 (The true key date)

    Varieties:
    1955 Arnprior(2 1/2 water lines)
    1965 (medium beads, pointed 5)
    1966 (small beads) *worth big money
    1974 Doubled Yoke (3 different varieties)
    1982 (coin turn)

    Only one I could add is 1955 Arnprior with die break and the 67' diving goose

    I always personally loved the 1935 dollar, due to the portrait and 25th year anniversary titles of George V on the obverse. Here is my example, I took the shots while it was in a coin flip, so some of the scratches are on that.
    I also always liked the p/l versions of the 1967.... and the 1958 totem pole is a cool issue. The 1964 is always popular too. They are all alot of fun.
