This eBay seller has an 1894 toned Indian cent for sale, it is rainbow toned, but it is very worn. Isn't this an obvious artificial toning? http://cgi.ebay.com/1894-RAINBOW-TO...dual?hash=item3a51a42dd9&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
Come on guys... Look at his other auctions: http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/baobaocoins168_W0QQ_nkwZQQ_armrsZ1QQ_fromZQQ_ipgZ Obviously he would know an AT'd coin if he saw one... lol This one here is a winner: http://cgi.ebay.com/1857-Rainbow-to...dual?hash=item3a51abdb03&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14 and this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/1931-S-RAINBOW-...dual?hash=item3a51a3f16e&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14
What about this toning job? I bought this coin off ebay and I thought it was just bad photography. When I got the coin I realized that it has a strange toning to it. It didn't bother me enough to return it for a refund but it sure makes me wonder. Does anyone know how it got this way? It's brown, like with a thin brown film of smoke or something.
