Thanks, HT, I ran out of steam at about S-175! That looks like a winner! Let me guess-- not nearly as scarce as the S-165?

A S-165 is a high R-3 or low R-4 and a S-187 is a solid R-1. ;) It's amazing how many coppers that are improperly attributed, aren't misattributed where it hurts the seller.

Here we have another colonial copper from the same seller as post #56:

I messaged the seller about the misattribution error:

This is also not a Club Rays variety, but I guess I don't know what I'm talking about with Fugios either? :| Anyone can tell it's not a Club Rays because there is no dash between MIND-YOUR on a Club Ray variety. :|

It appears to be either a 16-H or 16-N but I can't be sure on the reverse, since the pics aren't at the right angle to see what I need to see to properly attribute it.

    I'm leaning towards a 16-H though.

Ps: Here are the 2 Club Ray obverses:

It is NOT one of them!

    Anyways, the seller repied:

After seeing the cr*p you buy and sell; I think your an old Loser sitting in his double wide trailer who paid $5.00 to enjoy EAC, so; stick to selling your dimes and nickles and keep spending money on Conn.; pieces that I would not wipe my a** with...LOSER.

But to top that off, they also sent a threatening email:

    From: Christoph Coussens <coinsoftheworld@live.com>

THANKS FOR OPENNING THE EMAIL, THATS ALL I NEEDED.
NOW, SIT BACK AND WATCH THE SHOW........LOW RENT TRASH.
    OH, HAVE A NICE DAY.

While they do not phase me one bit, since they have proven who they truly are, I figured I'd share this with ya'll, whilst I sit in in my double-wide chewing on a plug and spitting in the corner. :D

Always nice to receive such a pleasant reply when you politely point out someone's mistakes.

I live with a man like that. He wants me to tell people the truth by pointing out their mistakes and try to correct them in the right direction, but when I try to talk to him about something that he says that is incorrect he flips out!

    Here's an interesting one:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150356493444&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123

Seller claims it the rare 1807/6 S-272 when it is obviously a 1807 S-271:

I've bumped into this seller before, when they listed either a 1799 or 1804 DBC that wasn't the date they said it was and they were very rude when I messaged them, just as they were this time. :eating:

    Beware of this seller! :hammer:

As always very interesting and informative. In my efforts to learn more about DBC's I enjoy your classes. :thumb: Just don't ask me to take the final yet.

This auction item, If I'm seeing straight tonight, is a somewhat knocked around 1805 1/100, that looks like a Sheldon 267. Correct?

    It's a S-267 and authentic. ;)

I messaged the seller and they said the 1/000 was a typo and I believe them but you still have to watch for typos that make a coin look better than it is. ;)

Message sent: "I can help with the question about the R. This coin is an electrotype replica"

I've also seen these with a T instead of a R and I've also seen the T on other electrotypes, along with the R but do you you know what they stand for and/or who made them? ;)

    Ribbit :)

Ps: Thanks for the help. :thumb: They will usually end the auction but this seller is being stubborn. :goof:
