1943 DDO penny?

    Hi,

    Not sure what to make of this.

    I see doubleing in the profile, nose/lips/chin. The TY of liberty and the 19 of the date.

    Hi Jonah, the numbers look like mechanical doubling effect, the "TY" I also suspect, but the photo is a little less visible on the edges than the numbers.

    Yes, there is definite Machine doubling on the "1". You will see a lot of things that will jump out at you when dealing w/ varieties. Most people think are DD's or RPM's are just plating problems that they had with that year:rolleyes:

    I kinda get it now, low shelf like appearance indicates a small machineing movement rather than an error in the die it self.
