Oh dear... I have already said Theodosius last time, but I will say @Theodosius once more. Recognizing one's mistakes is a virtue, isn't it?

This coin seems far too western for Parthicus, and bcuda to my knowledge doesn't collect Sicilian electrum either. It just has "Theodosius" written all over it: the fine style, the remarkable grade, the precious metal, the lavish toning...

I am running out of Sicilian coins to show in these contest threads, so I'll have to bring out this teeny tiny pegasus:
Griechen – Sizilien, Kephalaidion, AE, Herakles und Pferd.png
Sicily, Kephaloidion, AE13 (onkia?), c. 305–280 BC. Obv: head of Herakles, wearing lion skin headdress, r. Obv: Pegasus flying r. 13mm, 2.24g. Ref: HGC 2, 653; SNG ANS Additions 1320.

LOL, you need to seriously rethink WIP. That is a lot of Working Capital tied up with no value.

Process of elimination or totally wrong, either way I also have nothing like the op in my collection as well so here is a Probus:

@IMP Shogun did you include a guess in your post? Just voting in the poll is not enough.

I only have Parthicus and Cucumbor to choose from for the 4th coin owner. When I was brand new to CoinTalk, Parthicus sent me a collection 6 coins and put me through a rather strenuous numismatic attribution practicum. :writer::pics::wacky::writer: I still feel a special connection to Parthicus for all the time and effort (and PATIENCE) he so generously invested in me. For that reason, I thought I would somehow know his coin when I saw it. Since I don't get any sort of strange Parthicus-connection to this coin, I'll say it belongs to Cucumbor. I sincerely hope I get that Parthicus 'feeling' when I see the fifth coin.

And @Curtisimo, that is a cool gif you made there of the sentries/soldiers. It's adorable. You are so talented. Is there something you are not good at? You are probably a musician, too, huh? :singing:

I'm going to go with @Curtisimo as my answer for this round. I only have two options left, and that seemed like the most logical answer based on current information.

Anyway, here's the obligatory "ancient coin." Regardless, it isn't an actual ancient coin but a recent acquisition of mine from eBay. It's a modern polymer banknote from North Macedonia that depicts a Byzantine 40 nummi and scenes from a pair of Byzantine-era churches.

I'm still waiting for it to arrive, so I used the dealer's stock images as a placeholder. Regardless, someone posted one on a thread over in the Paper Money forum, and I just knew I had to have one myself.

I would guess @Theodosius but I already picked him for an earlier coin, so I am going with @Curtisimo , even though he doesn't seem to usually post coins like this. But, it is beautiful and he has good taste.

It has a tripod. I have a coin with a tripod (twice!):

Wonderful and witty guesses in this round as in the others. I got pulled away on a trip for work this weekend and into the first part of this week so it will probably be mid-week before I can post Round 5. As such I will leave this round open to guesses until I post Round 5.

In a way this is a good round to take a pause on since in the 5th round all participants will be invited to take a shot at guessing all 5 for an additional chance to win once all the coins have been revealed to them. I’ll be posting a summary of everyone’s guesses in the master thread before I post the next round.

This has been a fun year for the game so far :) Anyone who hasn’t guessed yet feel free to chime in!

    LOL that's really something.

Surely I have not even one right, though that doesn't matter at all, the point is having fun and learning

That is an idea for another contest. We can exchange links to all our coins and see if we can select a coin that the owner has forgotten they own. You know you have too many children when you can't remember their names.

I already voted for @Theodosius, who would have been my pick for this coin. lol So, I'm going to go ahead and vote for @Curtismo because it's a shiny coin. :p

Here is my new coin from Syracuse. Right side up this time!

I just realized how short and stubby my fingers are.
