A true Doubled Die is an issue on the Die used to strike the coin.. That is known as a Variety.

The answer given to you was correct. Mechanical or Strike doubling which has nothing to do with a true doubled die variety. It is clear to me that it is not a Doubled die

FYI.. Most issues you will find on coins are mechanical doubling or deterioration doubling.
    All considered worthless doubling.

    Here is some information

  6. Mine isnt doubled like any of those, I know the difference in doubling and mine is clearly doubled so much so u can feel the ridges on the doubling. I'm not looking to make and money off the coin I simply wanted to know if a double died coin from 1989 existed. Thank you for your opinion though.

No, you don't have a 1989 doubled die cent.

  8. Thanks for your opinion but I think I'll just have it checked.

Welcome to CT @Melissa Weller. I can see why you question the appearance of the "doubling" but given it is a Zincoln, it could be plating doubling or anyone of the other "Worthless doubling" we find. Good eye and keep up the search.

Also, you may wish to post your photos Full Image (after uploading your photo, two buttons appear; Thumbnail, and Full Image. Click on Full Image) for easier viewing.

By who? You have just received opinions from two of the best known experts on errors. I doubt you will find a more experienced person to tell you what they told you, but be our guest, but I wouldn't spend money to have it authenticated. JMO

I think the op is referring to getting it certified it will be a waste of money and the graders time if so.

This is why I don't frequent the error section much anymore.
Way too much of the Dunning–Kruger effect for some reason.
