  Good lord don't ever think that. I stick my foot in my mouth on a regular basis around here. I learn just as much here as anyone else.

No - I was just crazy enough to say yes when asked :D But thanks for the kind words ;)

You know what Peter did to get GD to become a moderator? They asked him for help in the back room and I heard the door close and a girlish scream(?) and GD came out with a black eye and a needle stuck in his throat.

i dont think anyone would take back a "busted open" Professional slab regardless of a return policy. thats a damaged product. and im sure they arent going to beleive the mailman took a bandsaw to your package.

    (based on grade not authenticity)

Tell them the dog ate it. It used to work with homework.

    To answer the original question..

Use a lock breaker. Clamp the edge of the slab and squeeze. Repeat on other three sides if necessary until the coin can be safely removed. Don a pair of protective goggles to stop the flying shards of plastic from giving you self-inflicted eye surgery. A very liberating exercise when done correctly.

    Claw,

I was doing a search on goggle and just happened to see this thread and your issues with Kelley's Coins.

I am Ed Kelley, President & CEO of Kelley's Coins. One thing we pride our selves on is our customer service. We have excellent customer service for a company our size. We do our utmost to keep our customers happy and will bend over backwards to do so.

All, and I do mean ALL, email to Kelley's Coins goes thru me so that I can stay up to date with what our customers are buying, what they like and dislike, what issues they might have etc. I then forward such emails to the correct department for resolution. I quite literally receive over 1000 emails a day. Most have nothing to do with Kelley's Coins and concern other business venture I am in.

If you sent us an email, I would have gotten it and I would have replied indicating that we will do whatever is necessary to ensure that you are satisfied. Since your name is not obvious in this forum, I cannot speak about your issue specifically but let me submit to you that a lot of things can happen to email. Email is not a 100% reliable medium and email does not always reach its destination. Furthermore, with all the new anti-spam filters in place these days, there is a myriad number of places where your email can get dumped. That is why when I send out an email that must reach someone, I send it with read receipt requested so that I know they got it & read it.

Claw, I do not want you to be unhappy with us and I will take care of you, as I do all of my customers. I do not remember any particular email like the issue you have so I cannot say for sure what might have happened with your email. All I can say is that if an email like the one you sent to us came in to my inbox, it would have been taken care of immediately. We give personal and individual attention to our customers.

Feel free to email me at my personal email address at ekelley @ kelleyscoins.com and I will personally work this issue with you.

    Ed Kelley

We do not sell counterfit coins...

In addition to my other reply, let me state categoricly for the record, we do not sell counterfit coins and guarantee all coins to be genuine. We run a legitimate business, a serious business, that intends to be here for many years to come. We are honest in all our dealings and adhere strictly to our company motto of "Integrity, Quality, Value and Convenience."

Also, I misread Claw's posting and thought he was talking about reaching us vie email. Email is the best way to reach us. I cannot say why his call was not returned. If he called 18 times, did he leave a message 18 times or did he leave 1 message and then just hang up the other times? To be honest, we do not have the resources to man the phone constantly. We state this on the phone message. Our 1st priority is to fulfill orders and the entire staff is dedicated to that end. We reply to phone messages or answer the phone as we are able but for the most part, if you call, you will get the answering service.

    Ed
