Mint error found - John Tyler presidential and spouse set

The Mint made another mistake. This time they messed up the John Tyler presidential dollar and first spouse set. Somebody received the set with John Tyler $1 coin, Letitia Tyler medal and a plastic card with Julia Tyler on it. Very interesting set. Seems that is the only set reported. You can find the set by searching item# 250475969396 on Ebay. As you all remember the Mint messed up a mother and daughter (Abigail and Louisa Adams) last year. This time 2 wives!

I would call that a "Packaging Error" rather than a "Mint Error". And, personally, I wouldn't pay a premium for it. But I'm sure bidders will line up for this piece.

 

I agree it is a "packaging error" which never happened before for this series. This is a very interesting set. Remember people paid $200+ for the 2007 presidential and spouse sets not long ago. Those 2007 sets all have more than 10,000 mintage. I don't know how much this set will sell for (since there is only one on ebay), but should be much higher than the 2007 sets. May become the king of the series.

 

I wanna see a Monica Lewinsky medal.

 

The obverse will picture her dress, and under it will be enscribed: "Subpoena the Dress".

 

Obviously will never happen. Duh.

But if it ever did, I would be one of those people logging in and waiting with baited breath until they accpeted my order of as many as I can get!!!!

Oh well. It's nice to dream.

I saw one of the error sets sold for $249 on Ebay.
