vermont 2001 quarter error

    I have a 2001 quarter from vermont with a perfect circle imprint on the back. I think it may be a planchet error or experimental planchet?Does anyone have any info about how i can find out what this is
    It still has luster and looks very new except there is a prominant symmetrical circle on the reverse side of the coin

    Based on your description it sounds like after mint damage. Can you post a pic of the coin ?
