    What should I pay for a 1790 Utrecht Silver Rider Ducatoon
    NGC - AU50 ?? It is really nice.

    Send me a link or a pic if you can. I have seen them sell for anywhere from $275 to $500.

    Sorry no photos available. It's at a local coin shop and its listed at $225.
    It's not as bright as your 1757/6, but the strike is as good or maybe a little better and has nice background toning.
    Sounds like it may be worth going to the old piggy bank. ;)

    Doug,isn't the Dutch silver rider also known as a Rijksdaalder?

    Nope, that's a different coin altogether. The rijksdaalder is a common name given to the 2 1/2 guilders.

    This coin is known as a ducaton.
