Who are the current moderators?

I don’t rightly know. It says it under their avatar and who’s currently on the beat when you log-in. But they come and go, and for various reasons. It’s not an easy job, when you think about it, crowd-control...

 

I assure you it is not a thankless task. The moderators have been doing a great job stepping in when things go off the rails or drift into politics.

Since the CT reboot I haven't seen any mods on here. Where are they
posted when they're on duty. I see Desert Gem posting from time
to time but the others I haven't. Their name and avatar use to be
posted over the "Recent Topics" header on the right hand sight of
the screen. Haven't seen that in over a month. Who's on duty now?
A list of the current mods would be nice.

 

Doug and Peter have done a great job of picking mods over the years. All have been fair and kind to me. The few times I have been corrected, It was my fault. I crossed the line.

 

When you first log on they’re somewhere on that page just above where it says what members are logged on. I don’t know who’s on now because that page goes away once you leave it. Log off and then log on again and you’ll see it. But don’t give them any trouble. If you do, I’m going to come looking for you (lol). But quite honestly, they’re what keep the peace here. We’re rolling along like a machine because of them, not by any accident.

I just talked to Doug about that. While he agrees it's unfair, he said it has to stay. But the good news is he said he's immediately doubling your salaries to compensate.

Heck, I just open the daily e-mail and I'm on (I think)...no login necessary...but seems like there ought to be a list of them, for questions, etc...I'm still trying to figure out the do's and don'ts, certain protocols, etc. (of course, it doesn't help to be a tech-dummy like me )

But what if there's a problem/issue to report...like a web-site issue. How do you contact a mod in a pinch...or otherwise for that matter...? I have an "alert" isue...one of my recent alerts that I received printed 10 times...the same exact alert x 10, like a key or whatever got stuck or something. I looked for a "delete" option on one of them, but didn't see/find a way to delete any of the 9 ditto alerts.
