AG Baby!.. That's my new Catchphrase My new YouTube video - Hello everyone. Today I did a 5 hour Metal Detecting hunt at my local park. It's been about a month and a half since my last hunt because of the snow, ice, cold temperatures and frozen ground.. Finally the days are getting warmer and longer! I found 2 Silver US Coins in one hole I detected. 1942 AG Washington & 1935 Mercury Dime.. 16 Wheat Cents.. Miscellaneous Metals.. The rest.. Misc Pics..
Once again you bring home the bacon. Nice finds. I see you also have an area to test paint colors for your rooms.
I figured you were out detecting today. A bit warmer and snow gone for the most part. Looks like another great day for you Paddy. Wonderful finds!
Hahaha.. There was a moment when the rain started to come down hard. There is an overpass over the highway where I hung out underneath for a bit. That's the wall but I don't know why they paint it so many colors! You can see me in the same spot in the beginning of the YouTube video I shared with you guys.. Thanks!
Productive day. Wondering...over the past several years, are you noticing a difference in the dig? I recall as a kid, the metal detector went away once the ground froze and had to wait until it thawed. I see you use a pointed spade...perhaps to cut through the frostline?
I've done a few detecting hunts with frozen ground. It's really hard to do. I have to stand with my full body weight on the shovel to get the spade into the dirt a bit. Today the ground was great.. Completely thawed. I use the Lesche Phoenix Shovel.. I can also use it against angry dogs and muggers!
Because of Eddie I picked up that Lesche Phoenix Shovel myself. Let me tell you, it qualifies more as a weapon than a shovel! and make no mistake about it, it's a fantastic shovel.
WAYTA? TATMTR! IAIYHOM. STSGBAYBF! What Are You Talking About? There Aren't That Many To Remember! It's All In Your Head Old Man. Start Taking Some Gingko Biloba And You'll Be Fine!
Trying....to....stop....myself....but @paddyman98 I thought you were referring to finding coins that were graded AG-3 or belong to an Attorney General. The symbol for Silver is Ag. If an element symbol has 2 letters, the first is always capitalized and the second is always lower case. BTW: Ag is the abbreviation for Argentum (Latin for silver). Gold (Au), tin (Sn), and sodium (Na) are some others that use Latin. (Some useless information for the day) Sorry, but that's what happens when you spent time grading Freshman chemistry homework as a lab TA. Hopefully, this would have made Dr. Bentz happy. Now if you'll pardon me, I need to check my coin books to make sure they are all properly shelved within the correct subgroups and neatly aligned
Definitely not useless! Greek is my second language but Latin is my third, having taken two years of it in high school. Sliver in Greek is αργυρος ("argyros") in both the ancient and modern language, most likely from the same Indo-European root as "argentum".
Hehe.. I knew that. I say AG Baby to make it more dramatic.. Sort of poetic license. i sAW A pOEM wRITTEN tHIS wAY oNCE. It's still understandable
