My new 1909 S Lincoln Wheat Penny

    Even being lightly cleaned, this is a VERY nice coin. It's quite attractive and DGS is a conservative grading service. I would buy a DGS holdered coin any day of the week.

    I don't like the wood grain effect. It has poor eye appeal to me, I wouldn't even know how to grade it, but if pressed, I would probably rate it an F-12. It is nice to see the thoughts of the others though.

    The thread was a nice read until this happened? Everyone has an opinion and even opinion I do not agree with are nice to read.

    .......if you like it you buy it. you can't (nor should you try imo) MAKE someone agree with you. grading is subjective so it may be a tall order in some cases anyway. although it MAY be a bit easier if in a top tpg slab company. enjoy!

    Are you kidding me? He stated his opinion which is what you asked for in the original post. Why go off on him because you don't agree. Just ignore it if it bothers you that much.
