A large ceremonial chariot with four wheels, with its iron elements, beautiful bronze and pewter decorations, mineralized wood remains, imprints of organic elements (from ropes to the remains of vegetable decorations), was found almost intact just a few hundred meters north of the famous Italian cultural site.

The chariot was discovered in a porch in front of a stable where, already in 2018, the remains of 3 equines, including a harnessed horse, had been found. It is a ceremonial chariot not used on a daily basis or for agricultural transport, but to accompany moments of community celebration, parades and processions.

Nice chariot coins. But what was found was actually a four-wheeled cart.

Anyone have coins with four wheeled carts? I don't think I have any.

Here is a cart reverse on sestertius of Agrippina Senior struck by her son Caligula, but I'm afraid it has only two wheels; at least that's all I see.
