Many fellow collectors asked where I got my cover page. I tell people I made it. It is amazing what you can do with photo-shop software. This is the cover of my three ring binder holding many of my Lincolns printed on your standard 8.5" by 11" photo paper. So after requests, I want to share it here.
VERY cool Midas...I may have to steal your idea and do something similar for Joe's binders of world coins.
Excellent cover page. I know with digital photography these things are easier but you have a definite artistic flair and shold be very proud.
I do something similar to the coins I keep in my safety deposit box. I use a 1200x1200 flatbed scanner. Why keeps a list when you can see the real think in 10x? Nothing so fancy though.
in 2x2? When you say 3 ring binder. Should I assume all your coins are in 2x2's? I just completed my first XF to MS lincoln set. Was wondering if I should keep them in World Coin Library #7100 Lincoln cents or transfer to 2x2's. Which is better for coins? As in color (toning) and carbon spots to not occur? Ron
I keep all of my Lincolns before the year 1944 in Intercept Shields 2x2 displayed in Eagle page holders: That is...3 ring binders with the above cover sheet. For dates 1944 to current, I display them in regular 2x2's. I also use avery labels (80 per page, return address size) displaying the year and mint mark in arial font #12, centered and in #8 font (second line) I have the mintage numbers. All 2x2's are squeezed with pliers to make sure the staples do not damage other coins or the holders...plus it makes a nice tight fit! I keep them under A/C and dry in clamshell 3-ring binders. Remember...Humidity kills Lincolns!!
