Checking out the surf today I'll definitely be riding the board this weekend, what can I say its SoCal & the surfs up, have a good one! :kewl:
Hooking up a wirelss router for Gf aunt, taking pics of their farm equipment to put on craigslist, winetasting, swimming then bookstore Sat. When I wake up Sun. I'll see how I feel. Also may have to put decking on deck at parents house.
Well tomorrow my girl and I are going on vaction for a week. We are going to Virginia Beach (her parents live there) to see the family and just relax.
Headed to a car show. "Red Barns Spectacular Show & Swap Meet" http://www.gilmorecarmuseum.org/ This place is fantastic. Old farm barns restored and used to house an amazing car collection.
Yeah, in Sacramento there is a coin show Sunday 8/2, be there or be a square bear. Honestly I'd like to go to the one in Southern Cal but I'll be alright. :crying:
Just got back, yup, she needed the exercise.... (The only Lightning there) Looks like rain here right now, got back before I got wet, yeah!
Hubby is gone for a boys' weekend in Lake Havasu, so I have the house to myself. I really wanted to go play poker at the Commerce Club but I had too much to do to get ready for the big ANA show in L.A. this coming week. So I'm watching mindless tv while I'm pricing new purchases, updating inventory sheets, gathering latest price guides to take with me, putting new Lincoln cents in flips (300+) to give out to kids during the treasure hunt I'm participating in at the ANA, stapling Fly-In Club membership applications to the latest newsletter booklets (100) to give out at the show, restocking my show supplies (flips, business cards, invoices, etc.), other misc. coin related stuff. I also have my monthly show tomorrow so I'm getting ready for that too. Hope to see many of you in L.A.!!!! p.s. oh yes, and taking a break to peruse CoinTalk!!!
I should have said, having a beer and perusing CoinTalk, and you are right, it is way better than mindless tv! And since the weather is hot but gorgeous outside here in SoCal (I peeked when I went outside to get the mail!), I'm sure Pappy-O is having a great time surfing, though the waves sure have calmed down from those 20-footers we had in Newport Beach a few days ago.
Surfed Newport Beach back in '73 but we had nowhere near 20' when I was there. Just little old 6 footers as I remember. Great town and friendly people, especially the beach crowd....
