Hello, I was wondering if someone could answer a question for me? Today i sent a coin in to be attributed, What happens from here? I know an expert looks at the coin and what happens if they find it to be a good coin? Does it come back in a special holder? Will my name be put on the coin? i have no idea, but people looked at this coin and told me to have it attributed. any help with this question? So i know what attributed means? Thanks BILL

Depends on a number of things: first, what company did you send it too, second, what type of coin is it.

You sent pics of the coin, or you mailed them the actual coin? If it's the latter, I didn't even know CopperCoins attributed coins. I checked their website and couldn't find anything about them having an attribution service.

Questions I would have is why did you send it. Do you believe it to be a die variety? What did you see that made you want it attributed???
I have sent numerous coins to Bob Piazza @ coppercoins for attribution and have never been disapointed with his work. If the coin you sent is an RPM or doubled die that had already been listed that would be indicated in the response with the return of your coin. If it is not a die variety that has been listed and is not too minor to list they may list it and indicate with your name as submitting the coin as well as posting photos of the coin on their site. My coins have always been returned in the same manner as sent as far as the holder goes.
You would probably get a lot better explaination though by e-mailing either Bob Piazza or Charles Daughtrey directly.
    Hope this helps some.
