I was watching one of the jewelry auction channels and they brought out some US bills that were very expensive. I didn't watch the last bill the guy showed as I don't normally watch the show, but it was truly a beauty. Anyways, he started off with a South Carolina bill then he quickly went to the confederates. From there he brought out a bill with a group of old colonial ladies. The ladies didn't look old but the bill and surroundings did. Here's the question, can someone do me a favor and name 3 highly collectible US bills? Pics would be appreciated of course but not necessary. I like to be on top of things just in case I run into a good deal. I've been visiting alot of antique stores and you just wouldn't believe what I see sometimes. thx
That's a pretty tall, yet ambiguous request. 1901 $10 Legal Tender http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:US_$10_1901.jpg 1896 Educational Silver Certificates http://usrarecurrency.com/WebPgFl/171595/1896$1SilverCertificatePMG64FR224Sn171595.jpg 1934 $100,000 Gold Certificate http://ragemanchoo.tripod.com/100000dollar_1934_GoldCert.jpg
there are a TON of high value notes in our nations history ... even more if you look outside our border! Keep in mind... if you ever buy a note off one of 'them' shows... you certainly are not getting a 'good deal'!
Dagg, Yeah I know better than to buy off of one of those sites but they do show some nice bills. I hope to add some one of these days, for now I just have a few $2 bills. The bills gatzon put up were super, any vintage looking bills are really cool to me. thx
i too love the older designs ... i only have a few myself, but will always strive to obtain more whenever i can
