Ck out your 2008-S Silver Proof Sets

    Check your silver proof set and see if your is like this.and post it,I have just heard back that that this maybe a new die variety for the Silver State Quarters no clad type have been found yet?

    Looks like a minor DDR. I doubt that they will bring a large premium over the regular issue.

    DDR, Maybe. But what the heck am I looking at ? Hippo feet? Perspective here please. Larger photo so I can get the so called big picture....

    What makes you say it could possibly be a die crack? With coin in your hand you have a better view then us. I'll wait for the results.

    I don't think MD would be at that confined of a space. You would think for that small of an area, that the doubling would be more prevalent. It should be more spread out. May be it is a die chip.

    Only A guess would lead to the die chip theory. Machine doubling is very random and can occur anywhere on a coin. There is nothing that even remotely looks like a die chip on this coin.
