Any idea if this would be worth a premium? I have my doubts because the actual error is so tiny. Any advice would be great. Don't know whether to keep or spend. I have 3 of these in consecutive order and they're all the same.
The part I'm talking about is the seal on the left...how the "D" in Dallas is missing along with "FED" in Federal.

This may very well qualify for an "obstructed printing" error.
Although small, the missing "D" would qualify it for that.

Check carefully to insure that a pen did not fill in the missing letter!
Some guy's girlfriend named "Alice" may have felt honored.

If you think it is an obstructed printing and not pen filled, I would consider sending it in to a TPG....

Years ago the Obstructed errors brought a nice premium for truly great examples. A minor obstruction as this just may be worth that extra premium.

I would sensd all 3...it's worth it in my book.

and yes, lots of crappy ebay sellers WILL color in part of notes to trick unsuspecting buyers. Its sad really...

Thanks for the advice. I backlit them and put them under a bright light. Sure looks legit to me.

Taking another look at this...is the "T" in Texas partially obstructed as well?

Please scan the seal area only at 300 dpi resize and post so we can get a better look at the seal area.

I tried a few different ways, but it isn't happening. My scanner sucks. I'm not getting any better images than the first one I posted. I can tell you though that yes, the "T" in Texas is partially gone. "D" in Dallas is gone and the first "L" in Dallas is partially gone. "FED" in Federal is totally missing, "V" is partial, and the last "E" in Federal is gone. The flat/matte color on that seal kind of reminded me of a web press note when I first saw it...lacking in quality, especially compared to the rest of the note.
