    So, when you said:

    and later:
you did use word "gem" with different meanings. Yes, you never said "if those notes went for grading that they would get GEM desigination". Isn't it strange that you expect that untill you actually say it everyone should understand that the meaning of your terms is different from the industry standards? Espesially considering that you are a senior member and many members are learing from you? Tomorrow somebody of them will buy a note like this one and will pay as if it would be a gem - how it's not a misleading on your part?

And what is it about "...worry about all my posts of my notes being scrutinized by you..."? I never even challenged your another note in this post, not saying about other your posts. I wanted to correct one specific thing which, I still insist, was not subjective. I'm sorry it hurt you.

There are plenty of pictures of all kind of great notes all over the internet. But when you post a picture of your own note in a numismatic forum – it’s different. It is a “real” note with its own character and you are asking people to judge your note. Unfortunately you get addicted to “Great note!” replies…

Thanks guy's for both of your post's and positions.
With all that cleared up, I think we all should move forward don't you?

Nice notes Urban and vrt, welcome to the forum. Please tell us a little about yourself. What does your collection consist of?

    Regards,

Aren’t you a peacemaker, RickiB? I was waiting for you in this thread - you are not shy mentioning "minor imperfections" of your notes.
I have a small collection of uncirculated notes (small and large sizes), nothing special, and relatively big collection of circulated FRNs. At this point I'm trying to get all denominations, all series, all districts and all facilities that I can get for face value (except for 50s and 100s – I keep only 1 of each series). Many of you would consider most of these notes not worth saving. I, probably, will spend them in the future but for now I'm using it as a financial cushion, just in case…

Sounds like you are off to a great start! Do you have any images to possibily share with us?

I am not trying to be a peace maker....LOL
It is just a silly argument and no one wins.

You are correct, I use slang about my collection at times....I know my collection is nothing all that special as well. It does have it's imperfections and I will be the first to admit it....that does not make me a bad person I hope.

So for the sake of welcoming you into this group, I just think we should move forward without the knives and daggers. Everyone of us will be better off for it and this I am sure you will agree with.
I am not sticking up for either of you, I am just trying to point out that it simply justs makes for silliness.

    Best regards,

    RickieB

I've already said I do not have anything special so there is no reason to post any images. I actually think that posting images should be limited to asking specific questions (mostly about grades or identification) or showing really rare notes (error, foreign and large size pre 1900) that you are really exited about. So what that somebody got pair of nice notes from 1990s? If you cannot reply anything but "great notes!" then nobody even learning anything from it. It really doesn't matter for me or anybody else if urbanchemist has these notes of I see them on ha.com. So, what's the purpose of these posting except feeding on "great note!" replies?

You well might be on something here. If you quit, maybe somebody else will help me. I really need to know what this forum stands for. The description of forum is "Discussions related to paper money, currencies from around the world not made of metal." but you do not want any discussion. Is this forum used primary as a showcase?

Posative reinforcement helps us grow as collectors, gives us drive to set some goals and, sometimes, new input or information can be revealed. I appreciate your posting these and other notes and hope you do not get discouraged by one persons opinion. :)
