Hello everyone, Can someone point me in the direction of a National Parks Error Quarters List? I have been looking without much luck sadly. Thanks in advance, Coinman
I find a lot of videos on YouTube that cover different error coins. I think It's one of the best ways to learn about different errors.
Don't trust those bad click bait YouTube videos bad advise some are good but most are intolerable.Coin books knowledge and a lot of people on here are your best options.
I only watch a few reputable channels on YT for that. I have my own YT Channel and these are sources I trust, but I do not want to watch 25 hours of YT just to compile a list, lol
It's great that you have a YouTube channel, I've probably watched one of your videos if you post about coins. You actually don't have to watch "25" hours, you can look up a specific topic and watch a ten minute video. But that's just me trying to be helpful. Gosh, are all people so touchy on this forum now? I used to post here years ago, seemed like a nicer place.
Found a good website called hobbylark.com that may help you. When you get in it type in America the beautiful quarter errors.
I do know Shawn from Blue Ridge Silver Hounds, thank you for that video. Though great as it was to watch, no errors listed. LOL
I don't think there are any specific errors for the America the beautiful yet you can find or buy die chips, cuds,MADS,ddo, ddr, little off centers, broadstrikes e.t.c.
I didn't watch the particular video. I just searched for National Park Error coins and shared it to show that you can find info on YouTube. It's actually been a great resource for me. I like Blue Ridge Silver Hounds, but I'm not here to advocate for any channels and I don't have my own channel.
Shaun (blueridge silver hound) is a good guy in my opinion and not one of the click baity youtubers... although I gotta say his content is a bit boring. LOL! Shaun is cool. If you are gonna watch YouTube about coins he's the one I'd recommend he's thorough and informative. About your request. The hobby lark thing that potty dollar mentioned has the main ones to look for, I think there's like 3. There's more but there is no one stop shop to get it all. I'd recommend the below and searching the categories on all 3 sites, doubleddie does doubled dies, variety Vista does... yep, varieties, cuds on coins focuses on cuds. doubleddie.com, varietyvista.com, cuds-on-coins.com These 3 sites are a good resource for coin roll hunting in general though. I use them. I also from time to time search eBay for anything that might be missing or not on the sites but you have to know what youre looking at because a lot of errors on there are post mint damage and not errors at all so doing that isn't for novice that can't tell the difference between a doubled die and machine doubling or a cud from a blob of solder. I wish for a one stop list myself but I don't believe one exists. I wish you luck though!
I also wish there is an error list on the National Park quarter series. The lack of major and significant error in the series probably is the reason why such list is so hard to find. As others have mentioned, most errors we see on the series are minor, such as cuds, MAD, partial collar, die breaks, and sintered planchet, etc. Major errors such as large-percentage off-center, double struck or die cap are either super rare or non-existence.
Please don't take this wrong, but you just admitted you posted something you had no knowledge of. It helps if you are sure of what you post, or at least say something like "as far as I know". Once again, not meaning to be nasty.
Make about any list you want of possible errors, and you can find all of them on National park quarters.
