    Hello,

I know nothing about coin collecting, but my dad has requested my help with translating some terms to spanish. after some research in the web, I've hit a wall for a few of them.

anybody speak spanish here and would be able to help me with the translation of the following terms:

'blank' (as in 'rods are used to punch out blanks from the metal strip' - I figured they are the coins that have been cut from the metal but not yet 'stamped' but I have no idea how to translate it

'milled' (as in 'milled to upset the rim' - something done to them so that the edge is modified?)

Thanks a bunch. I am hoping you guys are as nice as we are in the quilting forum in helping newbies!
